GOOH Studio

One canvas. The screen in view.

Studio is the working surface where out-of-home creative is made, chosen and prepared. Material, generation, variants, formats and screen context all live on the same canvas, so the panel the work is for never drops out of the conversation.

What Studio enables

Three things on one surface

Not three tools to move between — three parts of the same working surface.

Material
A written direction, or images, video and documents you bring with you. Uploads and reusable product material stay in a library you can draw on again.
Creative work
Generate images and video, edit what exists, enlarge, and work from references — with variants kept beside each other rather than in separate files.
Formats and screens
Reformat a chosen piece into the ratios a run needs, and bring the intended screen’s context alongside them before anything moves on.

Creation

How work actually develops

Rarely in one pass. The canvas is built for the second and third attempt as much as the first.

  1. Start from a direction, or from something you already have

Write what you are after, or bring in an image, a video or a document. Both arrive on the same canvas, and neither is the second-class route.

  2. Generate, edit and use references

Make new creative, edit and vary what is there, and point at reference material where the operation supports it. Which operations you see depends on the offer served to your account.

  3. Compare and choose on the canvas

Keep attempts next to each other and decide by looking, rather than by reopening files. The canvas is named and it persists, so the decision survives the session.

  4. Reformat the one you chose

Take the selected creative and prepare the ratios the run needs. A ratio is a format, not a screen — reformatting shapes the creative, it does not decide where it goes.

Formats and screens

A ratio and a screen are two different questions

A ratio shapes the creative. A screen adds everything physical about the place it will be seen.

Reformatting gets you the shapes a run needs. Screen context adds what the shape cannot carry on its own — the panel’s aspect and resolution, the geometry of the surface, and the angle people read it from. Wide and curved flagship formats are reached by reformatting rather than generated natively, and Studio is honest about that rather than quietly cropping.

A ratio is a format, not a screen. Reformatting prepares the shapes a run needs from creative you have already chosen.
Sites
PreviewIn screen context
Choose a site and a screen, then look at the creative in that screen’s context. Preview is for inspecting a choice, not a guarantee of what a panel will show.

Preview

Look at it where it is going

Preview selects a site and a screen from the catalogue and puts the creative in that context.

It is there so a team can inspect a choice before it moves toward Delivery — to see that a composition still holds when the panel is not square on, and to catch the version that only worked on a laptop. It is a considered look, not a promise about what a physical panel will show.

Delivery

Arriving with the work intact

The chosen creative, the formats prepared for it and the screen context it was judged against, carried forward together.

What moves toward Delivery is a whole piece of work rather than a file pulled out of a folder and re-explained in an email. GOOH does not buy media, book inventory or publish on your behalf, and the handoff to an operator is not fully automated — what it does is make sure the thing being handed over still knows what it was made for.

In Studio today

What you can do now

Present-tense only. Where availability depends on your account, it says so.

Prompt- and reference-led image and video
Generate stills and video from a written direction, or from material you supply as a reference.Available operations vary by the offer served to your account.
Editing and variation
Edit an image, enlarge it, or produce variants to choose between.
Uploads and product libraries
Bring in images, video and documents, and keep reusable product material to hand.
Canvas organisation
Named, persistent canvases that hold the creative, its references and its variants together.
Ratio reformatting and composition
Prepare the required ratios from a chosen piece, and take a result into layered composition work where you need editable elements. Not every generated result becomes editable layers on its own.
Screen-context preview
Select a site and a screen and inspect the creative in that screen’s context.

Open a canvas and see how it holds up.

Try Studio yourself, or have someone take you through it against the screens you are actually buying.
